2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Tenth | 7,510 points [ 960 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (October 10, 2022) - It was an all-around unlucky weekend for Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing, and just when they thought things couldn't get any more frustrating, they did, ultimately forced to pull out a backup car for Saturday’s Nittany Showdown finale after making the evening’s dash. An incident during dash action forced the car change, only to be caught up in another upside-down affair in the 30-lap, $15,000-to-win finale.

Despite the hard luck at his home track, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series sophomore is ready to move on, setting aim on his final Midwest visit of the season in visits to I-80 Speedway and Lakeside Speedway on Friday and Saturday, October 7-8.

The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native and former Port Royal Speedway track champion remains tenth in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series standings, padded by one victory during action at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin.

“Not the Port Royal Speedway return we wanted,” Zearfoss said, ace of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, Berkebile Oil Company, X-1 Race Cars, K1 RaceGear, No. 3Z. “I can’t thank my crew enough for their hard work during these chaotic times. It’s been an up and down year and that can lead to frustration. They always battle through the hardships and I appreciate that level of dedication.”

ON DECK:
Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their sophomore campaign with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series with stops at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska, on Friday, October 14, and Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, on Saturday, October 15.
